FBC Calls Family Life Director

On Sunday, March 1, 2009, at a special business meeting, the Church membership called Terri Schrag to be our Family Life Director. Terri comes to us with over six years experience working with youth.  She worked four years at a large metropolitan church working with their youth.  For the past two years Terri has worked for the State of Kansas working with troubled youth.  She believes that the Lord has called her to work with young people.

As our Family Life Director, Terri will be under the supervision of our Senior Pastor, Pastor Dan.  She will assist him with pastoral duties as requested and assigned.  Look for her to be very much involved in the life of the Church.  While working with our youth, Terri will encourage them in the life of the Church.  She will lead Bible studies and help develop the spiritual growth of our youth.

Terri might be contacting you, and others, to help provide some form of adult leadership for our youth.  She will recruit, train, mentor, disciple and nurture these adult helpers.  Terri will design and implement youth trips.  She expects to follow up and visit the homes of our youth and new prospects.  Three quarters of her time will be working with our youth and the other quarter she will be assisting the Senior Pastor with the Life and Ministry of the Church.

Please make Terri feel welcome to our Church.  Introduce yourself to her and if you feel you can assist her in some way, let her know.

We are so thankful the Lord has called Terri Schrag to be Family Life Director.

• Passion Play cast positions are still open to be filled. Ever wonder what it would be like to be a disciple of Jesus while He was here? A Roman soldier? A Pharisee? A thief  that was crucified? Come experience it! Please consider being a part of this powerful ministry to our community. Rehearsals will be on Sunday evenings at 6:00pm starting on March 8th. • We are looking to form more worship teams for our Sunday morning worship services. Singers and musicians are both needed. Practices are Sunday evenings at 5:00pm. Contact Dorothy , Fletch, or the Church office to get involved or if you have questions.
• ABY Senior High Gathering is coming up on March 13-15. Students, please be sure to get signed up! Adults, would you consider being a sponser for the weekend? Contact Fletch for more info.
